Lake Bracciano, a splendid Latium basin of volcanic origin, rises in an area characterized by numerous crater cavities, a sign of the presence of ancient Sabatini volcanoes in central Latium. It has the classic circular shape of volcanic basins, an area of 57.5 square kilometers and a maximum depth of 160 meters.
Lake Bracciano and its surroundings are connected to the capital by an efficient public transportation system, including buses and trains that make it possible to reach the center of Rome in a short time. The area is also served by stores, restaurants, schools,pharmacies and all the necessary infrastructure for comfortable living.
All around the lake is a scenic road that will allow you to circumnavigate the basin and visit the most characteristic villages, found on its shores, including the most interesting: Bracciano, Trevignano Romano and Anguillara Sabazia.
With an e-bike, it is possible to explore the shores of the lake and the surrounding countryside and woods, thanks to well-marked bike paths, a ring of about 8 kilometers made to offer panoramic views of Lake Bracciano and the smaller Lake Martignano, as well as the Sabatini Mountains, the Mount of Rocca Romana and the Tolfa Mountains.
Finally, for lovers of sport fishing, Lake Bracciano is a real paradise, populated by numerous fish species such as whitefish, pike, whitefish, eel and royal perch.
